As I am around half way through my UKCAT preparation, things are going a little bit better than I had expected. With timing, I am finding that when you actually are in a pressure situation, you somehow manage to speed through the questions.
As I was saying earlier, prior to preparation, I was feeling apprehensive regarding the quantitative reasoning, however as I have been practicing, things are going a lot better. However I do rely on the online calculator for practically every question. But the questions are not that complex. Hopefully the practice questions are a good reflection of the real test.
In regards to the other sections, I find that for abstract reasoning, my performance depends on my mood! If I’m in that quizzical mood then it’s my lucky day. Otherwise, I struggle to find the patterns. I am really surprised with my DA section, as I am finding I have always got time spare with the online tests. Perhaps it’s because the codes are shorter than other previous practices.
The weather here in New Zealand is warming up and a beautiful New Zealand summer is on its way. It makes study a lot more difficult, but I tend to do a few hours of UKCAT in the morning anyway, so there is still a nice chilly frost outside!
