Taking a first look at the four sections of the UKCAT they all seem quite unlike I’d expected.
I’d anticipated the questions to be a lot more directly linked to medicine, however it is clear that each section will certainly test a different part of my mind.
Initially for me, the easiest section appears to be the maths (quantitative reasoning). I have always enjoyed maths, leading me to study Maths and Further Maths this year.
The verbal reasoning looks relatively straight forward at first glance too. Immediately the decision seems quite bizarre and unlike anything I’ve tried before, while the abstract reasoning is utterly impossible.
