I am halfway through my preparation and it’s going… okay, I guess. The scores I’m getting at the moment are not consistent with each test so I’m unsure what to expect with the real thing.
I thought verbal reasoning would be one of my worst sections but that, along with decision analysis, appear to be two of my better ones. Abstract reasoning and quantitative reasoning are the two that I have come to dread now.
I just can’t seem to figure out the rules between the sets! When I think I have worked out a rule, it seems too easy and there’s almost always a secondary rule that refutes the previous one. Gahhhh! Hopefully with more practise, the rules will become more obvious.
With quantitative reasoning, *they* say it’s meant to be GCSE maths, but some of the questions are so hard! I don’t remember GCSE being that difficult. However, that might be because we had a lot more time at GCSE and, soon enough, got into the swing of things.
In any case, with both of these sections, in the practice tests I’m constantly scoring mid to high 500s so I’m a bit worried. The other two sections are a bit less consistent ranging from high 500s to low 800s so, again, I don’t really know what to think. It changes with each test!
