I have decided to delay my test by one more week just to give me a bit of extra time to do some more practice and gradually work my way through the vast quantity of questions available on the ukcatprep.com site, as well as try out the official papers on the ukcat site.
I think I have now got to grips with the quantitative section as well as the decision analysis. The abstract reasoning has become so much more satisfying now that I am actually able to identify the patterns! What really needs my attention now however is the verbal reasoning. I think ,in some ways, you either have a natural propensity towards the verbal reasoning section or you don’t; unfortunately for me I don’t! I think I’m finding the difficulty is with reading so quickly and answering the questions which, for some, I could argue it was true, false or can’t tell. I think my advice for this part would be to not doubt your immediate answer and go with your initial reaction. Whenever I read normally I read quite slowly because I like to take in and understand everything I’m reading, you definitely don’t have the time available in this section of the test however!
