We all need some light relief from time to time… especially when summer has been spent with a book in hand and a screen never far away whilst grappling with UKCAT! Here’s a poem Hannah wrote about UKCAT – it might make you smile (hope those muscles haven’t atrophied!)
So many questions, such little time
With enough practice I should be fine
There’s verbal reasoning
Don’t waste time reading
Quick scan the text
Is it true, false or can’t tell?
Lots of statement questions as well.
Look at the data sets with
GCSE level maths
Are you sure?
I don’t remember these calculations from before.
I’m confused by AR
Can’t seem to spot the rules, arghh!
Shapes, patterns and new style questions
Set A, Set B or neither?
It could be either.
Nearly done, decision analysis
This is where I’m badass!
Chance to play detective
These only take a moment
Finish line in sight
How appropriate is the action?
How important is the consideration?
Results will either make me cry
Or punch the sky
Affect where I apply
And so, with a sigh
Turn over the paper
What a surprise!
Can’t believe my eyes!
I guess all it takes is determination
And lots of preparation
That’s what you need to be doctor or dentist
You don’t have to be the sharpest
Now I can go to med school
And that’s pretty cool!
Time for the real work to begin
Guess I’ll continue this life of studying.
There will be another poem by Anna in a few days!
