Emily prepares for UKCAT

August 29, 2013 by Emedica

I’ve been practising hard for my upcoming UKCAT, using books and the online UKCATprep course mainly. The verbal reasoning section has always been one that I don’t have to worry about too much. The sections I find the most challenging are abstract reasoning and the new situational judgment section.

I found some videos on YouTube that really helped me get my head around how to go about answering the abstract reasoning questions – something that was particularly helpful considering nobody really tells you what it is all about. I’d definitely recommend looking at some videos for any sections you may be struggling with.

Situational judgment is just one that I’ve had to learn to get to grips with on my own. I always tend to find myself stuck between two different answers. ALWAYS take notice of whether the situation involves a doctor or a medical student.

Timing is my biggest problem but I have come up with a few tactics now so I can beat the clock!

We have over 100 free UKCAT questions for you to try. We also have over 2000 fully updated UKCAT questions, with the same screen layout as the real thing. The service reflects all the new changes for the current year.
